Penda Byrd

Penda Byrd was born and raised in Washington, DC where she served as a community advocate and volunteer educator.  She received a degree in electrical engineering from North Carolina A&T which enabled her to pursue a career in information technology.  She loves people all things outdoors (especially gardening) which is what led her to relocate from Washington, DC to the Liberia neighborhood where she works to support the historic Liberia community as a member of  les Board.
